Upcoming Workshops

Introductory Alexander Technique workshop for a small group of beginners.

Summary:

This mixed group Workshop will give you a chance to discover more about the Alexander Technique, so that you can make an informed decision as to whether or not you would like to have a course of lessons.

Participants will be able to have a reduced rate 1:1 follow-up lesson.

Description:

Do you wonder what the Alexander Technique is and just how it might help you?

This two and a half hour Workshop will give you a chance to test the ground, ask questions and find out how you can learn the Technique and help yourself reduce aches and pains, become more poised, improve your performance skills and increase your sense of well being.

There will be gentle experiential exercises, discussion and demonstrations and as the group is small, you will be able to have some individual hands-on work with Hilary, an experienced teacher. Refreshments will be provided.

Participants will be eligible for a reduced rate 1:1 follow-up lesson with Hilary King.

This is highly recommended as it allows you to extend your learning and experience what an individual lesson is really like. In order to gain the most benefit from this, the lesson needs to be taken within 2 weeks of the workshop.

Small Group, maximum 6 participants, so you need to book in advance. You may ask for an Application Form below or you may phone Hilary on 020 7254 9206

Save £5 if you book before 20th March

I’ve found Hilary’s lessons very helpful for my general well being.

As a computer programmer, I spend long hours sitting in front of a screen. I have had problems with my joints, particularly my knees and hands. Computer work doesn’t really help with this, however with the Alexander Technique, I’ve found that my joints are more relaxed.

I don’t get the usual aches and pains, which come from intensive keyboard use, provided I actually apply what I’ve learnt in the Alexander lessons.

Other welcome side effects from the lessons are that I have more energy and I generally feel more relaxed and easy with my body.

Kevin: Computer Programmer and Guitarist
