Introductory Alexander Technique workshop for a small group of beginners.

This IWD Workshop gives women a chance to find out about the Alexander Technique in a small group setting.
Participants will be eligible for a reduced-rate 1:1 follow-up lesson.

Alexander Technique classes can offer you a tool for you to use throughout your life, to help you cope with stress, look after yourself, reduce problems such as back pain and increase your sense of wellbeing. Importantly, you can also learn to prevent many problems from developing. The Technique can be used to enhance all your activities whatever your lifestyle, whether you are a manager, office worker, performer, pregnant mother, teacher. Nearly everyone can benefit from learning the Alexander Technique.
Discover how to increase your ease and freedom of movement, improve presentation skills and become more poised. The Technique can help you fulfil your potential.
The Workshop will give you a morning of gentle experiential games, discussion and demonstrations. As the groups is small you will be guaranteed some hands-on work with Hilary, an experienced teacher.
Hilary King MSTAT is a professional affiliated member of BackCare and BAPAM and was one of the teachers selected by STAT to teach on the ATEAM Research Trial into treatments for low back pain (BMJ Aug '08).

Reduced Rate 1:1 Follow-up Lesson - This is highly recommended, as you will experience what private lessons are really like, so that you are able to make an informed decision about whether or not you would like to take further lessons. In order for you to get the most out of your lesson, it needs to be taken within 2 weeks of the Workshop.
