Alexander Technique for Beginners

NoteWorkshop Information

Sorry, this workshop has expired.

Upcoming Workshops

Introductory Alexander Technique workshop for a small group of beginners.

Summary:

Introductory Alexander Technique Workshop and 1 individual lesson included in the fee. Together, these offer you a chance to find out what the Technique is like, so you can decide if you want to take further lessons.

Description:

Part of each fee from this Workshop will be donated to UNICEF'S Emergency Appeal for victims of the Myanmar (Burma) cyclone.

Learning the Alexander Technique can help us to reduce problems such as back pain, RSI and headaches. We can learn to move more freely and easily, become more poised and increase our sense of wellbeing.

Join this friendly small group Workshop, to find out how the Technique can help us in so many ways. Test the ground at this taster morning:

  • Demonstrations
  • Discussion
  • Gentle experiential exercises and games

You will be able to experience some hands-on work with an experienced teacher, both in the Workshop as the group is small and, rather more in depth, in the individual follow-up lesson. This can give you a real sense of what the Technique is like and how it could help you if you learn it. So that you can gain the most from your private lesson, this needs to be taken within two weeks of the Workshop.

Organic/Fairtrade refreshments will be provided.

Small Group with Limited Places - so please Book in Advance.

Ask for an Application Form below.

Save £5 if you pay before June 12th.

'I first met Hilary when I attended a one day course on the Alexander Technique. Finding that the Technique suited me, I continued to visit Hilary on a regular basis. Practising the Technique has helped me in many ways: I am generally more relaxed, aware of bad habits and conscious of making improvements.

Perhaps the most impressive effect, has been that I can now manage my sciatica, once very severe, now hardly ever perceptible.'
