ABOUT THE BOOK

EDITORIAL REVIEW
This text aims to answer all your questions about weaning your baby and providing a good variety of the right foods. Written by a qualified nutritionist and mother of two, it includes a wide range of simple recipes as well as time-saving tips, ways to prevent fussy eating, and information on the importance of diet and what is nutritious and suitable for your baby (what's good for adults isn't necessarily good for babies). While this book isn't about weaning, it actively encourages mothers to continue giving breast or formula milk to their babies together with solids. It explains how to know when your baby is ready to move to solids and discusses vegetarian babies and those with special dietary needs and offers tips on food safety and basic hygiene along with tips from other parents. There is also an at a glance weaning calendar and some basic recipes.
USER REVIEWS
"This book is out of touch with reality. Recipes were time consuming and expensive. No practical information, for example, on freezing batches of food - how many people have time to make these extravangant recipes fresh each day?! Preaches about breastfeeding - sometimes it is not practical to breastfeed exclusively and who needs another book making mother's feel guilty if they don't feed their babies!"

"Complete with recipes, nutritional information, and an overview of each of the stages of weaning, this book tells you just about everything you need to know about introducing your baby to solids. It emphasises that learning to eat solid foods should be a positive experience and helps you start your child on the way to a lifetime of healthy eating.

Incidentally, the Amazon review says this book isn't about weaning -- I think this must be a typographic error, because that's exactly what the book is about."
