ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"this book is rather annoying! Appently that its good that the pages can be pulled out to be put in your own revision notes, well the pages just fall out all over the place, rammed me right off!

Then the information inside the book is only good if you do all the evaluating studies that the book does. Personally none of the evaluating studies I do are in, good for me! bahhh

I say if you've got good notes from class then use them, save the money and go down the pub, the morning before your exam. superb."

"I'm currently studying psychology A2 from the AQA exam board and I must say that this book is excellent for the price that it is. It is colourful and well organised and allows for increased understanding and easy reading.
The punched holes in it meant that I could easily pull out pages and incorporate my own notes with the revision guide, making up for some of its flaws. One of these being that they aren't very detailed and miss out key aspects of the topics for each unit. An example being in the psychopathology section, where the synoptic unit of the course is ignored, along with the detail needed for some of the questions. Of course, considering this isn't a textbook, its still pretty good at reminding you on what you need to know."

"i found this book very helpful. i ended up getting top marks in all my psychology papers. what i found particularyl good was the fact that the book gives step by step guidance on how to wright a proper essay and score the relevant marks ie ..AO1 AO2 and AO3. it also provides student answers that are incorrect thus highlighting common errors and pitfalls to avoid.
having said that what i found dissapointing was that it did not cover a wide enough array of topics. psychology being a very broad subject , teachers can pick and choose which modules to pick and unfortunatley not many of my particular modules were covered in the book. however i was not too grately dissapointed by this becuase it forced me to learn from different perspectives by using techniques shown in essays not relavant to me and applying them to my own learning; which at the end of the day i belive to be the most constructive form of learning.
i must say though that the book is not a miracle worker that can magically transorm your grades in the space of a couple of weeks. it must be used in conjuction with a good textbook and classroom notes during exam revision well in advance of the actual exams. good luck!"

"This is an excellent book for students and I highly recommend it to A2 level students (and all of my students).
It addresses all key areas and issues and not only gives you the facts but then the past questions and sample answers to support them.
It does not go into the depth of a class text book, because it IS a revision guide.
It would serve as a great guide to anyone revising or needing an alternative to their normal text.

It is a small, light weight book, packed with essential information to help you get an A.
It is also colourful and easy to read."

"This book is extremely helpful to students studying for the A2 Psychology exams. Although handy, it lacks detail, and is missing many module areas.

I found myself using hints from other module sections, such as Personal Development, for my work on Adolsence, this lack of detail of all 3 sections within a module means this book isn't the best out there."
