"It tells the true story of how a little girl fought for survival in every sense of the word, from being a tiny tot. She endured much cruelty along the way, met up with some fearsome characters, and at times was in extremely dangerous situations. You will ask yourself time and time again `how did she do it.. ? ` God alone knows the answer to that, but she did. This is certainly a book worth buying. Full marks to judy westwater for having the courage to survive, and for sharing her heart rending story with us. "

"This is a very good read, the only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating as it was not as "gripping" as some of the books I have read. It was very well written and easy to read. I sat in the bath reading this book on Christmas day as Judy was living in a bottle store and was brutally raped; it made me feel quite guilty that she endured so much and that I was lucky enough to be brought up in a loving family. I would certainly recommend this book; how a child can endure so much cruelty yet remain so strong is increadible. Her father is a disgusting creature and the system really did fail this poor child.
