ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"This book is an absolute gem. If you are interested in Ayurveda as well as looking and feeling better than you are now then it is worth considering buying this book.

Pratima Raichur offers readers a detailed self-test to determine their exact skin type. I found that mine fitted in with sensitive and dry. She also gives customised skin care plans for each skin type which is most helpful. There is also proven effective advice for addressing the most troubling skin problems.

Pratima also gives lists of medicinal herbs and foods for each skin type eg basil, raisins, nutmeg, sesame seeds for dry skin and chamomile, saffron, coconut for sensitive skin.

There are so many things that I like about this book that it is impossible to list them all. For example, there are oil combinations to apply as perfumes to change your mood - relieve anxiety, anger etc.

There are also colour suggestions to wear for each of the 3 very different psychological types of person: Vata types; Pitta types and Kapha types. (These are similar to the western types of Endomorph, Ectomorph and Mesomorph ie small frame, medium frame and large frame.)

I also particularly liked the information on meditation. Even though I have been meditating for many years there were still tips that I picked up here in this book to help my meditation practice.

I would describe this as a very, very good book."
