ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"I first read this book whilst in my first trimester and absolutley hated it. I dismissed it as 'celebrity fluff' and banished it back to the bookcase. Thank you raging pregnancy hormones.

However...

I am now in my third trimester and, after a very pleasurable re-read, I now see that this book is an absolute joy. With lots of lovely bits and bobs, from the photos to the text and the (yummy) recipes, there is a lot to keep you going. Informative, touching and very, very funny.

Ten out of ten, thanks Jools! "

"I bought this book on the strength of the recommendations you can see here on Amazon. Warning though - I guess everyone else was looking for something a little more low brow than I was.

I was *hoping* for a book that was an emotional and real account of a woman's first pregnancy, with in depth feelings and thoughts. It's actually more like a teenagers diary, and if the tone doesn't get you the ridiculous amounts of CAPITALS and !!!!'s will.

I'm sure it's a "nice" read if you're just wanting to burn a few hours in an airport and you're not too fussed about detail, but if you're after something with a bit of substance this isn't it. Sadly, I haven't found one that is yet either! If you can recommend one please do - thayer 18 AT yahoo dot com. "

"The postie delivered this at 7.30am, I then went back to bed and didn't get up until I had read the whole book cover to cover. A fantastic and inspiring read, I'm just sorry I've finished it really!"

"I read this book so quickly I'm looking for something comparable to read. It's not that there's anything I didn't particularly know about. It was just so lovely to read something honest. Jools comes across really beautifully and I just love her approach to motherhood. She's balanced but honest about when she was being neurotic or nervous.

It helped that I lived around the corner from where they lived so was very familiar with her local haunts and just wish I could have been a part of their NCT group!
