"Well, I read this book last week with a feeling of serious scepticism - "This is just someone's attempt to make money from smokers who are trying to quit", "If I can't do it by myself what sort of difference is one book going to make", "I've been smoking for a very long time now, and tried to quit many times, if this doesn't work does that mean I'll be stuck forever?!" etc....

I finished the book with a mixture of excitement and nervousness on Sunday night, put out my last cigarette AND...It really does appear to be working!!! Usually a quit attempt would mean Nicotine gum, stress and depression; but I am now on day 2 of being a non-smoker, without any sort of substitute, and although it hasn't been entirely pleasant it really has been quite easy! Also, although the Nicotine Monster has been trying to get me to cave-in I know that I won't because it will do nothing for me!

If you (or someone you love) are trying to stop then you could do a lot worse than to try this book. It's really not that expensive for what it is, if it doesn't work then at least you tried....but if it does then you too can say:

"Yippee! I don't have to put those filthy things in my mouth any more!""

"This is the first ever review I have written on book; I am writing it only because this book really deserve it. I have been a smoker since 14 and tried to give up on numerous occasions with no success.

My friend recommended this book to me when I told him I was trying to give up smoking; although I was bit skeptical at first (who isn't about self-help books) I did went ahead and bought it.

I read it in all one go (I recommend reading it in one go - it's an easy read) in 02 Feb 2007 and put down my last cigarette that day and haven't touched a cigarette ever since.

I have to admit I did get cravings for about a week but it was very mild. Every time I get a craving I re-read a chapter from the book and the cravings goes away. I am glad I found this book at the age of 24 while I have lot of life left ahead of me. This book helped me recognise my ability to control my self which I used to stop alcohol (almost 3 years tee total).

This is a life changing book and I recommend that anyone who wants to stop smoking to buy it and more importantly read it.

"I used to smoke 25 a day,I'd been a smoker for 21 years and I always told myself I'd give up 'one day'.

I went to the doctors to see about my Tonsilitis, after a brief chat about smoking
my Doctor handed me a piece of paper with the name of this book on it, and told me to keep an open mind and read it all the way through.

I decided to buy the book and give it a go. I was sceptical at first because, let's face it, we all know there is no easy way, right? How wrong we are! I found there's a lot of self recognition in the early chapters, even so, I found myself unable to put the book down to start off, then it dawns on you, the more you read the quicker that dreaded day is coming, the day you have to give up cigarettes!

You will slow down your daily chapter intake but once you near the end you should be excited about giving up, I know I was. So then the day came to give up, I never thought I'd be able to give up on my own with nobody pressurising me, but I have and it is the most wonderful feeling.

I gave up just over a week ago, but I know in my heart of hearts that I have given up for good, and it is all down the book, because I was still waiting for 'one day' to arrive.

If you're thinking about buying this book for yourself or someone close to you, all I can say is PLEASE buy it, it has changed my life for the better, and I'm sure if you, or that someone close to you, keeps and open mind and reads the book all the way through, then they/you can find a way to bring that 'one day' closer.

"I bought this book for my husband who is a heavy smoker. I was a light smoker - 3 to 6 a day and then a packet or two at the weekend when out with friends etc. I read it to 'test' it for him - he was and is a huge sceptic.

I read the book in a day. Stubbed out my last cigarette that same day. I haven't smoked since, haven't wanted to and know I never will again. I'm immensely happier and relaxed and didn't put on any extra weight etc. A lot of my friends smoke, my husband still smokes a packet a day and will not read this book - but he will one day when he is ready for himself and it's not a wifey 'obligation' and I know he too will stop."
