ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"Finally - a book that delivers even more than it promises. Open any magazine and you'll find superficial articles about the stress in our lives. This book contains genuine and useful information. Authors Clark and Rosch have respectable credentials and clearly define issues that lead to stress and weight gain. They offer clear-cut solutions to help you cope effectively with a whole range of problems. Even if you're not overweight, De-Stress, Weigh Less can help you to have a better quality of life.

Chapter five alone is worth the price of the book and is better than time spent on a therapist's couch. Reading it is like having a personal motivator at your side. Attention is given to exercises for anger management and assertiveness, deep-breathing techniques, self-massage and imagery. That is just chapter five. The other chapters cover much more, and certainly not just in passing. Having spent a great deal of money on private sessions with a certified nutritionist, I learned even more from this book. I felt like I had taken an in-depth class on nutrition. We are what we eat, and it's time each and everyone of us understood the effects of what we put into our bodies, as well as how stress can effect our eating habits and weight gain. Before reading this, I had a better understanding of automobile engines than of my own body.

Additives, vitamins, diet drugs, allergies and food sensitivities and binge eating are all discussed in detail. Dr. Clark even shares some delicious, healthy recipes.

There is practical advice on what kind of exercise is right for your lifestyle as well as warm-ups, cool-downs and specific tips. Learn what stress is, why it contributes to weight problems, how to deal with your own negativity as well as criticism from others, and maintain your weight loss for good.

You can lose your stress and your extra weight by following the advice in this book - it really works!"
