ABOUT THE BOOK
"This book was a godsend when writing my critique and proposal; and I'll be using it in my dissertation. Parahoo writes in a style that is easily quotable, and the glossary has probably saved my assignments! My tutor is also a huge fan of this book, I would definatly recommend it"

"I was in fact thrilled and energised when I read this 2nd edition of Prof. Parahoo's book!
Like the first one, this edition guides you through the basic ethics and progression in the nursing research process, except that, it keeps you up to date with nursing knowledge and research. It also includes extra appropriate chapters reflecting the evidence-based practice phenomenon.
Currently, I am in the final year of my degree and in the process of an extended literature review. By following the pertinent chapters in this book, I was able to draw together the majority of the theoretical starting point for my study. The relevant guidance and recommended link proved more than accommodating for my learning needs. Doing research without a good book is like `building castles in the air', (Parahoo, 2006)
I would robustly recommend this book for anybody embarking on research in nursing as well as in other health related subjects.

"This book is fantastic for all 2nd year nursing students about to embark on the critique module..........I was dreading mine, then I bought this book and it wiped all my fears away. Most of my large cohort (55 of us) have this book too, and swear by it. Well done Mr. Parahoo on another great book !!!"

"After trying to find a book which would help with a difficult year 2 nursing exam I found everything I needed to know and more. The text is easy to read but still remains in sufficient depth to gain a good grounding for research. I will be using it to work along side my degree in year 3. Invaluable to evidence based care with every aspect of research covered in a way to enjoy and learn more. Brilliant!!!"

"I hate research, but had to do it for my training. This book mkes it all seem a bit less daunting. It has easy to read chapters and the index makes it easy to 'dip' into. Worth having on the bookshelf for reference."
