"Sandi Leir Shuffrey's book is a good handbook for any person wishing to learn about the Usui Shiki Ryoho system of Reiki. The book covers many areas, such as : the History of Usui Reiki in Japan, the healing process, the importance of choosing a Reiki master carefully, their lineage, and information on the attunements to Reiki at degree levels I and II. The chapter on students own personal experiences of Reiki is a particularly interesting one. She writes with ease about her subject, displaying a depth of knowledge about Reiki, which some books cannot provide. However, the title "Teach Yourself Reiki" is misleading. Even Sandi Leir Shuffrey, insists within her book that you should always learn Reiki from a qualified Master. Having completed First Degree Reiki, I can highly recommend this book to beginners!"
