"I would have preferred to have a book that gave greater detail of exactly how the chemical processes in the brain worked and were affected - with more diagrams.
I found that all the case histories grew a little tiresome, and if I want to re-read the book to check information then they make it very confusing as it becomes difficult to find the facts squirreled away between seemingly endless personal accounts."

"If you have, or suspect you have, a thyroid problem then BUY THIS BOOK!! I was diagnosed 12 months ago but felt like I was just treading water. I bought this book after reading other Amazon reviews - and I'm glad I did.

There is a chapter entitled 'No you're not making it up', which kind of sums up everything for me. The whole book reassures, educates and warns you about what to expect. Some parts are a little scary and could turn you into a hypochondriac - but on the whole I feel better informed and am ready for a clash with my GP.

I wish this guy was based in the UK because I'd book myself an appointment with him tomorrow!!"
