ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"I am fascinated by developmental biology and during my reading of the subject I have not come across a book so beautifully presented and so helpful in translating two-dimensional descriptions of development into a three dimensional process.

The pictures of the embryo's in this book are amazing; they cover each major stage of development in each layer of the embryo (e.g. the nerves are separately depicted as are muscles etc) and are well annotated. I have yet to read the text as the pictures are so absorbing.

This book is a wonderful, easily accessible depiction of a vital part of every person's individual past, in every corner of the world. We all share the developmental processes shown in this book; indeed we were these embryos, this is where we came from. I came away from this book with a newly awakened sense of awe of the process of development that created or will create every single person in the past, present or future. If only we could live up to the beautiful process that created us."

"This is indeed an extremely informative and interesting book full of colourful images that allow you to comprehend exactly how the human foetus develops within its mother.

Very useful piece of reading if you know nothing about the human growth process. This book covers every aspect of the development process showing clear images of the various stages. ie 4 weeks, 8 weeks etc.

The text is easy to read and digest. It takes the reader into a more detailed and indepth overview of each vital component, its dependencies and function.

Further information relating to digestion, organs, oxygen, toxins, waste elimination, movement, nervous system, blood pressure, sensory development and human architecture are all covered in some detail.

A good addition to anyone's collection that certainly won't grow outdated. Excellent gift idea!"
