ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"This book, by one of the worlds most highly regarded experts in the field of spinal pain management and clinical anatomy is my favourite text relating to low back pain (a close second is Gordon Waddell's 'The Back Pain Revolution', which has a different focus). I have bought every edition of this text since the second, and it keeps getting better and better through the addition of relevant research findings and additional chapters. Anybody familiar with Bogduk's impressive research background will see that the author knows enough to make this text extremely complex, however, he shows his thorough understanding of the subject by making the contents comprehensive yet very accessible, whilst maintaining the precision that has become his hallmark. It is not expensive compared to other books in the field and the diagrams help to make potentially complex topics even more accessible. If I could give the book 6 stars, I would."

"First off, I'm not a medical student and I only really bought this book for informational purposes as a result of my herniated disk that has been causing me pain for several years. So in terms of technical appropriateness, I can't really comment on the book. However, what I can say is that it is loaded with extremely interesting information that covers almost every aspect related to this region of the body; it's certainly a very serious study.

My only complaint (and reason for not awarding five stars) is that the diagrams could be better. I know production costs probably prevent the use of colour (a real shame in this case) but even the use of two-colour would have made a big difference. Having said this, the diagrams just about serve their purpose and everything else about the book is very good. A comfortable 4 out of 5!"
