ABOUT THE BOOK
"I found this a very helpful book, which is in the form of a pocket sized book which is great. The layout of each topic is very clear and concise, and easy to follow and read. The text is supported with great pictures not only of varying foot conditions but also of treatments and numerous footwear availale for the diabetic foot. Not only does the book cover treating the diabetic foot, but it also covers extra issues that Podiatrists require to know about such as psychologoy, communication and dealing with death. It also covers new roles for podiatrists such as MDT teams and research. A very useful little book indeed."

"I have to say Alethea Foster is and for the time being a leading light on diabetes and it's surrounding problems in Podiatry. And this is the only element that goes in her favour. Other than that, this book is over priced. Merriman's or Neales gives a much broader aspect and interpretation of diabetes in Podiatry and the surrounding problems. This book is only for those clinicians who treat ulcerations and surrounding high risk patients who like everything in a small pocket book. Other than that there is very little in this book that has not been highlight in Alethea Foster's other books or in Neales or Merriman's. "

"An excellent pocket book by the diabetic foot guru Ali Foster
The book contains not just clinical management advice / guidance for those involved in the care of the diabetic foot , but also addresses issues such as how to give professional presentations, and how to deal with the bereaved family.
A well illustrated book with the advantages of being pocket size with a plastic cover! A must for all podiatrists involved in the management of the diabetic foot and for podiatry students too....."
