ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"I did it all the emergency room visits thinking i was having a heart attack, all kinds or tests and checkups with no straight forward answer. Im glad i found this book when i did, i was at the end of my rope. It breaks everything down and helps you understand whats truely going on withought the $1000s in unnecessary medical bills. Best book ive ever bought."

"I suffered (out of the blue) really bad Anxiety with Depression. The depression came because I could not understand what had happened to me and I could see no way out. Claire Weekes (the book) made me understand exactly what had happened to me with clear explainations of what had gone wrong. A light bulb went on!!! it was one of those moments, from then on a cure was in sight. It was as if she were sitting next to me and talking directly to me. The book was written about 40 years ago, what a forward thinking woman. My thanks go out to her family for keeping her words alive.
It has been the best book I have ever bought. And it certainly saved my life, I have no doubt about that."

"The message is good, but Claire Weekes' voice is terrible. She is not soft and welcoming, but harsh and sharp, authoritative. Just compare with Dorothy Rowe's soft voice and excellent tapes, and you will see what I mean."

"I have suffered from panic / social phobia and depression for over ten years, and have sought help from numerous professionals and read various books. Most of the advice I have received has left me more bewildered than before. Claire Weekes, however, hits the nail on the head, and delivers the answers I've been looking for in a no-nonsense manner. Within days of listening to this I started to sort out parts of my life that my anxiety had a real hold on, and I am starting to see panic and fear in a different light. This tape should be available on the NHS!"

"All reviews of self-help guides like this tend to be gushing because, to a mentally fragile person it's either the one that saved your life and you want everyone to read it, or it's been cast straight in the bin as entirely useless. However, for someone who also has professional support and/or medication, this is fantastically supportive and practical. The style is 'quaint' to put it mildly - the references to 'nerves' inevitably calls up images of 1950s housewives on Valium and gin, but, to my surprise, it really helped me cope with the dodgy moments coming off anti-depressants. The practical advice on coping with anxiety attacks is excellent, and I still refer to it when one of life's googlies comes my way. Weekes's rock-solid positivism is exactly what one needs in these circumstances. Astonishing since this guide is more than 30 years old."
