ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"Tantalising title aside, Philip Adams' collection of essays makes a most stimulating though somewhat heavy read, as he uncovers subtle internal states in the individual using clinical material as examples. I enjoyed the book thoroughly though often needed to re-read paragraphs for deeper meaning. A boook one could return to again and again for insight and reflection. Most suitable for philosophers, psychoanalysts and those with a literary mind but there is something for the general reader too. I would recommend this as an excellent intro to Adams' writing. I first read it ten years ago, and the book still has much to offer a decade later."
