"I haven't read any of David Bodanis' books. I borrowed this one off a friend who highly recommended it. And it was a huge joy to read. The detail is breath-taking. Especially since Bodanis is dealing with everyday items and activities we all do. The sample family used in the book is American, but can easily be European. Littered with anecdotes and amazing facts, the book will never bore you. You will be always coming back for more. i have struggled with putting it down!
David moves along the day in a typical American family. he pauses and goes into details at every opportunity. The details are usually jaw-dropping.
the best thing about it is that after you finish it, you can flip back to page 1 and read it again and still enjoy it! i highly recommend this book and will be rushing to get more of Bodanis' books when my next paycheque arrives!"
