ABOUT THE BOOK
Colour Zone Therapy may at first seem a little daunting and, indeed, just a teensy bit on the wacko side, but if you delve behind the airy-fairiness of The Healing Power of Colour Zone Therapy, you may well find that you have instinctively been indulging in a little self-treatment without even noticing.
For example, when you are feeling ill think how good it feels to have someone squeeze your hand, or rub your feet. Well, this isn¹t so far away from a dose of Zone Therapy which, as a close relative of reflexology, works by placing pressure on points on the hands and feet in order to eliminate waste and blockages within the invisible electric currents that run throughout the body.
And, when you are sad or depressed, remember the instant lift that comes with thinking for a moment about blue skies, golden sands and the hot, yellow sun? By doing this you are giving yourself a little bit of Colour Therapy which deals with the emotional rather than the physical and encourages the visualisation of different colours as a means of healing and relaxation.
So, combine the two and you have an holistic therapy which takes into account the mind and spirit as well as the body and therefore allows a natural balance and sense of well-being to be restored in order to encourage physical healing.
Of course, it is more complex than this, but cut through the authors' jargon and take note of the helpful A-Z of ailments and the user friendly 10-minute and one minute "Colour Zone Workout", and what you have is a book about a therapy that actually makes perfect sense and is to many of us already second nature. --Susan Harrison
"I had borrowed this book from a friend and had to have it for myself. If you are interested in colour and healing, this is the book for you. It is simple to read and makes sense. It is a good starting point into healing, with some reflexology pressure point work. It also has pointers on A-Z of common ailments with specific advise for each complaint using colour, affirmations and reflexology pressure points. I am a reflexologist and have found this book most useful helping me add that "extra" energy to my treatments.
Only negative is there is no reference to chakra's - which I beleive would benefit readers."
