ABOUT THE BOOK
"Can't understand why anyone says that there aren't enough vegan recipes in this book - 3/4 of the recipes contained in it are vegan! The rest incorporate healthy animal produce and could easily be altered to include vegan or vegetarian ingredients instead. ALL of the ingredients are easily sourced in grocery stores & supermarkets. So the book is indeed for the whole family and anyone who wants to adopt a more holistic lifestyle. It contains excellent advice, is easy to follow and learn from and is beautifully presented with truly delicious & nutritious recipes for all."

"Being neither a vegetarian or vegan, myself and my family have taken full advantage of the ideas and recipes in this book. Not only is the food tasty but it is also wholesome and it's a nice feeling to know that we are benefitting from the varied ingredients for each meal. It also means that the the guilt factor of having the occasional curry or KFC is more than made up by the feel good factor through eating Patrick Holford's sensible and nutritious meals. The section about food types, vitamins and minerals is also helpful although these pages are lifted from the Ultimate Nutrition Bible by the same author."

"This is a superb recipe book. It is easy to follow and the recipes I have followed so far looked just like the pictures! The food content codes really help ensure you eat a balanced diet.
The only disappointment is that there are nt enough vegetarian recipes but otherwise a splendid book, I have now bought four copies of it as friends keep taking mine!"

"The book has excellent content, but unfortunately a large number of the recipes include fish. If you are Vegetarian or a Vegan, this will somewhat restrict the number of recipes you can utilise."

"I ordered this book full of excited anticipation, as I am a big fan of Patrick Holford and his outstanding nutritional expertise. I had read the other review and as I am not a vegan I was looking forward to some super recipes. I was disappointed to find that most of the recipes used ingredients that just aren't easily available. Most recipes would entail a jaunt to at least three different shops for me. I was expecting to find recipes that involved "everyday" foods that I can buy in my supermarket. The recipes are very impressive for "dinner party types" but not for everyday cooking. I also returned this book (hardback - cost about a fiver to return!) So unless you fancy quail & quinoa , I'd think carefully about buying this one! Or get it from the Library before you buy!"
