"I found this book great in principle, but in practice was spending 2-3 hours per day for all the preparation required for the rather complicated recipes. It's just completely unrealistic for anyone who wants a life as well as a diet plan. Steer clear of it, and perhaps read the other reviews and question who might have written them - I think they read more like adverts than reviews, but i could be wrong..."

"I bought this book in desperation for my partner after we left left slimming world as she had put on weight ! Mood swings stopped almost overnight , weight loss slow and steady(5lb in 3 weeks), more energy . The recipes are absolutely delicious . The only complaint I have is the book refers you to his web site to access updated GL lists - which you have to pay for . However we bought two other GL diet books at the same time - this is the "bible" we keep returning to again and again for recipes."

"I started this diet three weeks ago and have lost half a stone already!
Although I am very pleased with progress I feel that buyers need to be aware that this book is unfortunately littered with typographical errors. In particular many of the measurements and instructions in the recipe section are wrong and I have had to adjust them quite considerably. I have emailed the publisher and Patrick Holford but have received no reply but readers should be aware of these issues before purchasing the book."
