ABOUT THE BOOK
"This book provides a great foundation in Anatomy. Probably aimed around GCSC level, but also useful for adults with a interest in how the body works, but without wanting to go too deep. For most people this is probably what you want.
The diagrams are very clear, although they are all diagrams, no actual photos of real people (depends what you like to see).
If you are going to own one book on Anatomy then this is a good one to get.
The book is quite large (bigger than A4), but there is also a very similar smaller (and cheaper) paperback version that whilst organised differently appears to be the same contents (Human Body, another Dorling Kindersley book). I prefer this format as it's easier to read, the other being pocket size in height, but very thick and so feels a bit awkward to use.
A very good book, but over twice the price of the similar paperback book."

"I'm studying the arts of massage, and this book has been so helpful that i just have to have my own copy! My friend who is studing medicine also has a copy! Lots of diagrams, and simple easy to understand descriptions. Even has the detailed discriptions of various aliments and how they effect other parts of the body. Very useful, i'd recommend this book for the beginner and the advanced."
