ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"When I first picked up this book I was a bit worried about how it would affect my self-esteem etc. I've been an on-off member of Weightwatchers for a number of years, read Paul McKenna's weightloss book, tried the Atkins, cabbage soup, starving myself etc and nothing seemed to really solve my weight problem or more importantly sort my head out.

I lost 47 lbs on Weightwatchers only to pile it all back on again in 2 years so commencing a new weightloss program was doubly challenging this time around. However, I read this book 2 months ago and since then I have lost 14 lbs. Steve Miller's hard no-nonsense approach really appeals to me as a man. He is upfront and direct and does not take any prisoners. It's a bit like reverse psychology, when Steve Miller tells you that you're a fat lazy slob he lays down the gauntlet and you want to prove the guy wrong. He asks you to become a 'life bitch' and stop making crap excuses. Weirdly this is strangely empowering and kind of fun! Telling myself 'No, I'm not eating this ice cream because I'm going to be a skinny bitch' makes me laugh out loud but for some reason I get my will power back this way! Steve Miller is actually the kind of friend you need sometimes because he's not going to sugar coat things and lie to you.

I'd advise anyone to certainly give this book a try, particularly if you're a man and you're not in love with the idea of going to Weightwatchers classes and listening to moaning brides-to-be complain and make excuses for not losing weight each week etc. - The premise of the book is you know what to do 'just bloody do it' :-) - I re-read the book all the time!!"

"This Steve Miller is a GENIUS! I was a 22 stone, lazy, overweight slob, with nothing in my life except food. I tried all weight-loss plans, classes and other books, however they all seemed to give me an excuse for my weight. But since reading this book, it has made me realise that I was just plain lazy and the straight talking, no non-sense approach, gave me a kick in the right direction. I knew I had to change as my partner just gave birth to our first child, and I don't want her to grow up and follow up in my "fatty" footsteps. It has given me the confidence and power to believe in myself. HIGHLY recommended."

"I like this book a lot. It made me laugh and at the same time has got me off the sofa from eating too much chocolate. The mind techniques are fun and it is strong in its messages but supportive at the same time. If you want a helping hand but a kickstart this is a must buy."

"I love this book. Its plain speaking and tells you what to do in no uncertain terms to get off the weight and keep it off. It isn't all about food and the latest craze about what we should eat. Definitely worth a buy if you want to get self disciplined. "

"I am pleased I bought this book. The tone is honest but at the same time supportive. I am not happy being so big and I needed this book to kick start me. If you are like me and not happy with the way you look this book is a really good read because it is honest and motivating. It is easy to read and gives you tasks to carry out which really help you get stonger in yourself to lose weight. "
