"Indispensible introduction to A & P.

It makes a great starting point and after you've read and understood each section Ross & Wilson makes more sense!"

"Bought this for my daughter to break her in gently into A&P before she starts uni doing her nursing course. I am a Health care professional and have come across these books as useful aids before reading more academic books on the chosen subject."

"This is a well-presented book and covers most subjects in good detail although some were not examined much at all - for example, the skeleton was glossed over, nothing on the individual vertebrae etc. A curious mix of complicated detail and slightly superficial entries - but overall a good reference and revision guide."

"BOOK REVIEW FOR: 'Anatomy & Physiology Made Incredibly Easy' by Barry Eckert, PhD.

Many students, including myself, approach the subjects of anatomy and physiology with great trepidation due to the vast amount of material that has to be absorbed in short periods of time. This book is like a breath of fresh air as it provides a light-hearted and easy to follow review of key topics covered in anatomy and physiology. It is an ideal aid for those students who wish to pre-read a particular topic in order to gain a good fundamental knowledge without having to arduously wade through large complicated textbooks.

The books greatest strength lies in its clarity, which is apparent in both text and diagrams. The diagrams are plentiful and are not just anatomical structures but also provide easy to follow illustrations of key physiological concepts. The breadth of subject content is excellent, covering topics in detail that other books tend to neglect. The 'end of chapter quizzes' are helpful in determining how much you have understood and retained whilst reading the chapter. Other good additions present are memory joggers, which are a brilliant idea and help in easy retention of material, speaking from personal experience they do work! 'Now I get it' boxes nicely illustrate points explained in the text that might benefit from a diagrammatic explanation.

Whilst enjoying and benefiting greatly from reviewing this book, I do not recommend that it is used as a substitute for standard textbooks as it does not contain the high level of detail required for examination answers, however, I highly recommend this book as a supplementary aid to anybody that is embarking on an anatomy/physiology course or who wants to refresh their knowledge of the subjects in question.
