ABOUT THE BOOK
"MacKewan does not go into great detail about the basic theory of Gestalt, as this is covered more fully in 'Gestalt Counselling in Action' by Clarkson. However, I found her summary of the theory immensely clear and helpful. For me, this book made sense of modern Gestalt in a way that other books had failed to do.
The main part of the book covers a variety of areas in a practical and sensitive way. Some issues covered are: attending to beginnings, experiments, polarities, unfinished business and creative indifference.
I have found that this is a book to dip back into again and again. For any counselling student who is having trouble getting to grips with Gestalt (as I was) I recommend buying and reading this book."
