"I found this to be the most helpful, in-depth and yet easy to read and understand book on this subject. I used a previous edition (from the library)during my pre-nursing course and then bought this edition for my first year nursing degree.
It has excellent illustrations and explains everything from the cell to homeostasis without losing sight of the basics before moving on to the advanced stuff. In short this is a must have due to it's consistent quality throughout.
It has what other books claim to have and yet delivers what they don't.
