"Dr Edward Bach discovered the 38 remedies of the Bach Flower Essences during a period of about 10 years in the 20s and 30s. This book contains a description of the different emotional states that can be treated by these remedies.
Dr Bach trained as a bacteriologist and homoeopath but he gave these up to look for a system of healing that would treat what he believed was the true and fundamental cause of disease: that is an imbalance in the emotional state of the sufferer.He found this system in the flower remedies. Before he died Dr Bach sorted all his papers and burnt many of his exploratory and research notes. He wanted the surviving texts to describe the only way that the remedies should be selected and used. This book is one of those texts

The system was designed to be a method of self help and the Twelve Healers is the simplest guide. The language used to describe emotions is sometimes "quaint" but the states described ring as true today as they did when the book was written.
It is the basic text used by Bach trained practioners and should be the basic text for anyone using the remedies for the first time."
