"Where do I start? This book really is a must-have. It contains all the useful wise snippets that would normally get passed down from mother to daughter that just seem to be missing from this day and age.

It is well written and contains useful information about illness, how to knit woollen vests, make mustard poultices, etc. It covers so many subjects. It has saved me bothering my doctor on several occasions, and when your child is ill you are feeling that you are indeed doing something to help. And what is more, their poultices and weird concoctions actually work in bringing down fevers, etc.
