ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"Dan Millman's "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" is a wonderful adventure! It's a fun story, as the main character, Dan, meets an enlightened teacher, Socrates, who shares insight on living life with ease, and free from the limiting thoughts of the mind. It's an engaging story line as Dan's world shifts from the ordinary to the extraordinary. I love how Dan Millman has created a novel that teaches with enlightening wisdom.

As Dan Millman's character, Socrates, shares stories and jewels of wisdom that helped Dan find new meaning in his life, I have found that Ariel and Shya Kanes' books have done the same for me. "Being Here: Modern Day Tales of Enlightenment", "How To Create a Magical Relationship" and "Working on Yourself Doesn't Work: A Book About Instantaneous Transformation" are three books that teach a practical approach on how to live life in moment. It is such a revolutionary approach, instantaneous transformation - enlightenment can be experienced by all - EASILY and with consistency.

If you find that you crave and search for well-being as Dan Millman's main character, the Kanes' books hold the keys that end the search.

"As far as this type of book is concerned I'm fairly well read and knowledgable and in the real world I have followed this interest for over 30 years, so have a certain self taught epistemological 'expertise'.

The book is poorly written, stilted and totally unconvincing. In particular the dialogue is totally unconvincing. If I had to venture a guess I would say the book is a work of fiction based within the framework of the author's real life. Perhaps if I was new to the genre I might have read the whole thing. As it is I've been unable to finish it because it doesn't move me.

Even the name of the protagonist Socrates is unconvincing because the rather basic priciples espoused are mainly Eastern rather than Greek.

There are far better books than this out there if this is your interest.

"The way of the peaceful warrior is quite like a mystery rapped up in words onto pages... After reading, i feel inspired to continue to develop my spiritual-self. The book is very well written, in that it is clear and comprehensive. The author communicates his experiences in a coherent way through out that text that leaves the reader in psychological awe after some of the chapters. This book is invaluable for the purpose, primarily of igniting a sleeping spirit to awaken and search for true enlightenment. I am still on my journey, but this book has contributed to my spiritual awakening, and id recommend this book to anyone who has the heart and mind to absorb the true diamonds within... "

"I first saw the movie on an aircraft, then read the book. I have now read all Dans books and gone on to read many more books on enlightenment, zen and meditation. A must read. The message is still as strong today as it was 30 years ago when it was first written. 10 out of 10

"This book helped to change my life for the better, forever. The more receptive you are to admitting you are wrong about things, the more you will get out of it. It is jam-packed with so many useful teachings that you can read this book 3 times a year for the rest of your life!
It is also important not to get addicted to self-help books, as they can be falsely alluring and somewhat misleading - this is not one of those books. Buy this, read it a few times, and change your entire outlook on life. Love it!"
