USER REVIEWS
"Trust me, I've read them all and this is the only one that I connected with.
There is no consolation for the loss of love, but this book is sensitive and insightful in helping you understand what's happened to turn your life upside down. It also contains lots of beautiful expressions (in poetry) of the pain and hurt you're feeling, which helps because you know you're not alone in going through these awful things, and that you have a right to feel whatever you're feeling. I find that as much consolation as listening to a beautiful song or taking a tricyclic."

"The author tells you this is a book to be used and not just read, and that is so true. I used it to come to terms with breaking up with my long term boyfriend. It was acurately tuned into my pain. This truely is a very helpful book the best money Iv spent! If I could recommend one book for helping you to understand and become more positive this would be it!! definately 5 stars."

"Initially, I was concerned that the book would only deal with people who had lost their love through death (this thought was based purely upon the title of the book) but I soon discovered that this was not the case at all. This book seems to cover so many situations, I am sure that every one would identify with something in it! It is a fantastic read, some things made me chuckle, some made me cry, but it all made me realise that I couldn't posibly be the only one in the world to feel like this and that things would have to improve.
I was so impressed with some of the stuff in this book that I typed some of the passages out and framed them to go on my wall! I would recommend this to anyone who has been (dare I say it!) "dumped", as so much of the material applies.
It made me feel better anyway and I just could not put it down."

"Many years ago when I was in my early 20's I broke up with a man that I was going to marry. He made the break up as difficult as possible. Over the next year, I lost 20 pounds (I was a size 2), didn't eat, and lost total control over my emotional stability. My mother gave me this book and it was a godsend to me. It gave me action steps to take everyday that finally gave me back the control I needed. Since then I have passed the book on to many people and finally after my last move I cannot find it. This book is a must for anyone and everyone who has ever lost something and mourns for it. I thank the author for sharing the wisdom that has made such a difference in my life. I will be getting a replacement and hoping I never need it."

"I have shared this book with friends, family, and acquaintances all over the country. It gets directly to heart of the matter, and is written so that if one page is all you can get through, one page is all you need. I had been referring to my first edition copy for all types of losses for years, when I lost my beloved brother three years ago. I found myself drifting, unable to focus, and this book went everywhere with me. It was the perfect "friend" when I needed one most. The first time I read the book I learned that grief can happen over any loss, and found that I was exactly where I was "supposed" to be each step of the way. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Melba Cosgrove, et. al.!"
