ABOUT THE BOOK
Do you want to be happy AND successful? In this groundbreaking new book, internationally renowned success coach Michael Neill shares the principles and techniques behind creating seemingly effortless success in your life. Based on over 15 years of working as a coach, catalyst and creative sparkplug to some of the most successful people in Hollywood, London and the Far East, this friendly and practical guide will be your companion as you learn to follow your wanting, overcome obstacles and create a life that makes you (and everyone around you) go Wow! "Michael Neill is the finest success coach in the world today", says Paul McKenna. "This book will change your life".
"I have to be honest, when I was reading this book I wasnt really blown away - I felt like I had read/heard it all before. Yes - some parts made very good sense and did make me feel energised but a lot of it felt like the usual self help stuff that sounds a great idea but isnt so easy to put into practice. Near the beginning of the book, the author said that it doesnt matter if you dont do all the exercises, because just reading it will have a major effect on your subconscious. Well - this book did just that! I have suffered from anxiety, paranoia and depression for the past 10 years (I'm 26) and after reading this book I noticed things starting to change. I am now much calmer in social situations, I feel stronger in my relationship and in my life. My fiance commented that I seemed different the other day, that he no longer felt I was clingy or dependent and I have to put it down to this amazing book. I can't explain it but it definately works!!"

"It's been a while now since I read both this author's books and listened to his CDs, so I can give a more considered review. I'm generally sceptical about self-help books (despite the fact that I find myself reading a lot of them!) but I think this author is one of the best self-help "gurus" out there. I found new insights, such as "where there's a way, there's a will" and the ideas behind effortless success. It's helped me to maintain a more balanced perspective on things and not get so stressed out about work.
That said, I think his overall message can be a little confusing. He says in the introduction that your happiness does not depend on getting what you want. I believe that's true. However, the title of this book, and the message he drums into you throughout the book, is that if you're not living the life of your dreams, you're somehow missing out on something. The implication is that you need to take action (or do his many exercises!) to change your life. I'm not so sure about that.
The author quotes Byron Katie a couple of times. I'm glad he did because it re-acquainted me with her work. It would be interesting to know what she would have to say about the ideas in this book. If you really want to find true happiness, I would recommend the work of Byron Katie instead (when you're ready for it!)."

"I have read several "self help" books and books on NLP,this one is really amazing. It does not give you any particular 'guidance' or a step by step approach to realising your dreams, which some books on self help do.It is "self" help after all ! I bought this book a few weeks ago but never really got around to reading it but once I started reading it,I was amazed at the insight required to write this book.I really loved the style of writing, the non-judgemental and non-patronising approach of the author.I have relished reading every page of the book.I have also ordered Michael Neill's "Effortless Success" from Amazon, which I eagerly waiting to receive. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I certainly would.I highly recommend the book,it will change the way you think and leave you feeling happy."

"Well, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Now this book has had rave reviews. It is nice to read, easy on the eye and Michael's approach is friendly.
Personally, however, I felt that Michael's style is most suited to the bored middle aged housewife. I don't think his style has much appeal to young adults or people experiencing genuine difficulty in life. I found the photograph on the front cover a little bit 'in yer face' as well.
You can have what you want? Well maybe at a conceptual level and certainly that's good to know, but personally I have had difficulty manifesting that into reality up to now, having bought the book almost a year ago.
That said, I would not want to dissuade anyone from buying this book - as I have said it is pleasant to read and does have good ideas in it. The author's heart is in the right place I think. Perhaps you will fare better with it than I have.
