ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"I recently embarked on the lighter life program and lost 3 stone. When I got the end of the 100 days the maintenance programme seemed long and drawn out (not to mention expensive). Once I had established the principles of Low GI, I set out to find a book to help me maintain my weight. I brought several books and I have to say this book was by far the best. It imparts common sense and logical facts on eating rather than tell us what we cant eat. I have found the 10 principles very easy to follow and so far, I have maintained my weight. Whats more, I feel very healthy and comfortable that if I slip up I am following the 80 / 20 rule and being a normal human being!"

"I saw the A-List diet on TV and thought I'd give this a try.
I was aware of complex versus protein concept from Patrick Holford but this book made it some much easier, as you use your hands for portion sizes.

I have lost nearly a stone in 4 weeks following the plan. Note I call it a plan rather than a diet. Where can you eat sun-dried tomatoes, goats cheese e.t.c on any other fatloss diet!
The ten principles are easy to understand and contrary to an earlier review, it doesn't have to cost a fortune to eat well on the plan. I was spending more on Slimming World as I was filling my face with Muller Light Yoghurts and salad, with very little weightloss!

I have another 3 stone to loose but hope the plan still works.

A Must Buy Book!"

"I'm pretty hard to please when it comes to diets and cookbooks but the Food Doctor series are absolutely exceptional. Forget the dieting side for a moment; the recipes are very good, tasty and most are very easy to prepare. There are a number of 'store cupboard' recipes that use the most basic ingredients but turn out to be delicious. On the dieting side, the meals are all low GI and combined with a reasonable level of physical exercise will help you shed those wobbly pounds. So you can eat nice nosh and do yourself some good. The clever bit is that if you are cooking for a family they needn't even know you are on a diet as the food will be good for them too. Highly recommended."

"I missed the other series of this diet thing on Richard and Judy, but I am watching this years. I am amazed at how those three women have changed in three weeks, even though I love food doctor approach. I have Ian's other diet books and have been hoping for a cookbook for ages. Hope its as delicious!"
