ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"I have never read a self help book before and so didn't really know what to expect. What I discovered was that this book is easy to read, is in no way daunting and is able to give the reader clear examples and mini-case studies to emphasise and explain theory or practice. There are many exercises in the book that can be tried and though I am fortunate enough not to be suffering any mental anguish, these exercises were educational and informative. I think this book would be very accessible to someone suffering stress, anxiety or depression. I will take much of this information with me as I continue training as a counsellor. "

"When I was first diagnosed with depression I felt very alone and wondered why me and why now? This book, gently lead me by the hand understanding why I felt so bleak and unable to find pleasure in anything in my life. Having been told "you are the last person I expected to get depression" by so many people, it was great to get back to some basics: understanding why and to start to see that things would improve in time. It wasn't hard to read despite having the concentration span of a newt and I am afraid I bored my partner rigid with "oh so that is why..." when I was reading it. I have read it again and again, finding out more each time, and it has certainly helped me come through my first really severed bout of depression (along with a lot of other reading, talking and understanding from family and friends) and I have recommended it (and bought it for) many other people too. I hope that it helps you as much as it did me!"

"If you ever find yourself in that world of stress and it feels like you're about to explode, then this is the book for you. So easy to read and relate to, as real life examples are used throughout, as well as easy to follow guides for that much needed relief. I would recommend that everyone has a copy of this book (no bible, as I now refer to it!!) and keep it at hand. Superb use of really easy to use descriptions and instructions. I have now found my promised land."
