ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"If I could give this book a zero star, I certainly would. I cannot believe that Amazon are still selling it. I am a professional hair and makeup artist and this book is absolute rubbish! The models used are poor and the end result would put anyone off thinking about a career in makeup. I was so disappointed! The price is not cheap either.

The Asian bridal look was absolutely, absolutely terrible, if I got any bride looking like that they would sue me! In fact, I wouldn't let a bride out looking that way!

How could this author not hire professional models? It was so amateurish in approach; whenever I get this book out to look at it, I am shocked into disbelief.

Amazon, shame on you! you should stop stocking/promoting this book and associate your name with quality! To add insult to injury it keeps popping up, whenever I look at books on makeup techniques.

It will be interesting to see if this review is printed, I did a review earlier nearer the time of purchase, but it was never printed.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!"

"The timing was just right - the package from Amazon arrived on the last day of 2007, which was perfect as I planned to give this book as a new year's gift to my girlfriend. The book's description and the cover page seemed promising - my girlfriend is an aspiring make-up artist specializing in fashion make-up. Well, browsing through the pages shattered my hopes of presenting her with a "OMG, this-is-awesome" gift. Contrary to the cover page, which hinted at nice photographic work and inspiring make-up lessons, the inside graphics were desperately lacking a touch of professionalism. The models were all a long way from anything eye-inviting. The lessons might have been better, but we didn't even go through them, since the final results were so revolting. Though this manual might be useful for someone dressing up for halloween, I definitely recommend you invest your money into something more esthetic if quality make-up is what you need."
