"This appears to be a superb guide to the Tour and provides enough guidance to get around almost without a map. Very clear and logically constructed. I also checked out Cicerone's own website entry for this book. There's some useful additional information there including a link to a rather useful site www.walkingthetmb.com which fills in with pictures some of the items the guide covers in a more generalised manner - stuff like what it's actually like to stay in a refuge and a comprehensive refuge list and way points. It's enough to make me confident that the Tour du Mont Blanc can be my first attempt at a self organised Alpine trek in 2008! France, Italy, Switzerland here I come! "
