ABOUT THE BOOK

USER REVIEWS
"I originally borrowed this book from the library, as I was unsure what to expect & have lots of books already on Aromatherapy. However, this book is different. This is for people who are thinking about a career in Aromatherapy and yet are unsure of how to achieve this. It covers issues such as different studying options & which one would suit you, what kind of Aromatherapy do you want to practice, (there is more than one type), & how to acheive the most of your time as a student ie. building relationships with other colleagues, practioners etc. Another interesting feature is that the author uses case studies for each chapter, to show different approaches that are possible & also the pitfalls that you should be aware of.
One lesson which I have learnt is, start as you mean to go on; set boundaries (the exchange of money can often be an issue especially with friends & family). I found this an invaluable resource for my future career (I am currently studying Aromatherapy @ college) so much so, that I came on Amazon & bought myself a copy."

"I found this book wonderful. It starts with questions about why you wish to study aromatherapy and then goes on to detail cost and training colleges etc. Once you have qualified it is a book to always keep to hand. It gives practical advice on being an aromatherpist.

I think this book is excellent. There are many books covering essential oils and how to use them on the market today but not a book such as this one. Not only is it a book on aromatherapy but also on running a small business. I would recommend it to anyone!!"

"Amidst the plethora of books on aromatherapy, this one fills a gaping hole in the market. There are a lot of books about the essential oils and their application - this book is about the practicalities of starting and maintaining a healthy practice. Rhiannon Harris guides the would be - and practising - therapist through potential challenges and pitfalls. Close attention to her book will help many practitioners to avoid learning the hard way - through their own mistakes. All schools who don't teach practice management as part of the core curriculum - and those who do - should wholeheartedly suggest their students see this book as Bible, map reader, dictionary and encyclopaedia of practice all rolled into one. I'm sure this is THE book that all established therapists will kick themselves for not having written first! It is also such an all encompassing book on practice that I don't think it can really be much added to or bettered. Invaluable!"

"As a student of Aromatherapy I have found this book is excellent. It helps you to determine whether you want to look at aromatherapy as a career or a hobby. It also points out the pit-falls, choose equipment and decided on the best buisness style for you. The section on how to study will be particulary useful for those who have been out of college for some time, like a lot of people on my course. Buy this book before any other aromatherapy book, it will really help you to make up your mind that this is what you want to do, and save you wasting a lot of money."

"If you are at the initial stages of THINKING about becoming an aromatherapist - then you must buy this book. After having searched through the list of books with "aromatherapy" in the title, I was "word-blind" but I opted for this one. Happily, I feel it was a great choice. It is so easy to follow and takes you by the hand on a step by step guide, from training options, to setting yourself up in business. It is written in no-nonsense English and doesn't subscribe to esoteric jargon, which I found so refreshing. It will make you think about things you hadn't even begun to consider before you embark on your new chosen profession."
