"An authentic and challenging book where Eliot Cowan, a renowned Shamanic Teacher, describes his journey with great insights and observations on how we live and what the results are for us. I agree with other reviews that it can be life-changing, though those not familiar with the Shamanic path may find his reports of journies to other realities hard to understand. He describes his unique blend of the Chinese five elements with the Shamnisitic spirituality of the Huichol people with a good dose of trickster humour. Though he does issue a small caveat at the end that treatments may take a long time to work, my only critcism is that this may be lost in the enthusiasm of his reposrts of succesful healings which may therefore be setting expectations too high. I would recommend this book as an essential read for anyone seriously interested in Shamanism. Few people write about the subject with such energy, insight and balance."
