ABOUT THE BOOK

EDITORIAL REVIEW
The Labyrinth of Gar is a unique book. It is an adventure story, a fable and an introduction to the Alexander Technique for children aged 7 to 12. Sue Merry has been teaching the Alexander Technique to children in schools since 1994. Since 1997 she has been fortunate enough to work with Educare Small School in Kingston, Surrey. This unique school integrates the principles of the Alexander Technique into the school day. Sue uses stories and games to help her teach the Technique to children. She originally wrote the Labyrinth of Gar to read aloud during story time at Educare.
USER REVIEWS
"As I used to go to the school Sue Merry works in at the time she wrote this book, I had one of my pictures published in it (The not so scary looking tree that has a birds nest in it, I think page 59 not too sure though). I remember when Sue used to read it to use before she published it. As my mind trails I never realy listened. When i received my copy of the book (Many thanks too Sue) I layed it too the side, thinking "Oh, woopee". But a week after I received it I thought I'd have a read. After that I could not put it down. Lots of twist. I'd recomend this book to all ages. I liked the fact that Sue had her daughter (I think it was her daughter, I appologise if I'm wrong) illistrate for the book, but Sue also had the students at Educare to draw labrynths (Spelling) and characters from the book and she had them published in it too, no matter how good or bad they were she was proud that they were in there. I'm hopefully going to buy another copy soon for my friend."

"As an AT teacher myself I bought this for my 6yr old daughter for a bit of subtle brainwashing! She absolutely loved it and begged me to read extra chapters at bedtime. I must admit to finding the 'jing jings', bog fairies and boys turning into dogs all a bit surreal, but then I'm not the target audience! AT was introduced in a very subtle and relaxed way that just fitted in to the story. I recommend this book."
