"These recipes are wonderful - I defy anyone looking at it to (a) believe it is a 'diet' book and (b) to not be able to find anything they'd like to eat. It works so well with the IPD; this whole way of eating is completely wonderful and healthy. I spent many years getting fat. Since buying the IPD a year ago I have lost two and a half stone and it is still coming off, while I am eating fabulous food and improving my health.
To those who criticise this way of eating, I would say: don't compare it with other weight loss systems - just try it, it works; and don't don't compare us with French women - this is about losing weight, not about being slim in the first place and maintaining it.

"My husband buys me a cookbook every Christmas. It's a standing joke because he does all the cooking. By the time I get the next one, I can do 1 or 2 recipes. This book, along with the way of eating, has changed all that. I am cooking all the time and really enjoying it. My husband is really enjoying eating the food (and he doesn't know that I am on a "diet"). If I can get enthused by making truly delicious food, then anyone can."

"I've been doing this way of eating for over a year and having lost nearly three stone. I have been maintaining for some months, but had fallen into a bit of a rut foodwise and was looking for some inspiration.
Boy did I find it! I'm one of those weird people who love reading cookbooks in bed, but rarely actually cook from them. This book is an exception. It's beautifully produced and bound and very well presented. The best thing about it are the fabulous, easy and tasty recipes. It has inspired me back into the kitchen.
My favourites so far have been the chili bake, onion bhajis, celeriac bravas, and the aubergine and feta pie. The 'take five' section is genious. All the recipes I've tried have worked and they have all been lovely. I've fed them to my hubby and the kids, and even used them with guests.
I have several low-carb cookbooks and this is by far my favourite."
