USER REVIEWS
"this book is so beautifully done. i think its easier to follow than other beauty books, just need to sit and take your time. i also love looking at the gorgeous photos. i think it is great that it shows a variety of asians and all the different skin tones. unlike another reviewer, i don't believe there is an african american in the book, she definately looks like she is of indian descent. i enjoyed this book and am recommending it to all my friends."

"I dont like this book at all. There was a black girl in the book. WHy it says asian faces? I dont know. that was the reason for me to buy it. I can see if that black girl was half asian or looked asian. But she was no where near. I think this book should be called womens faces not asian faces. Not worth it. I would never buy this book again. "

"It's not a GREAT book if you know all of the makeup basics. There are a few things in here that are interesting, like the section that involves the layering of the eyeshadow... but not much. It covers pretty basic stuff. The looks in the book are okay too, but I'm sure they're looks that anybody could come with if they got bored and decided to play with makeup."

"This book features lots of photographs containing different types of Asian faces and the makeup techniques that accentuate their different looks. It contains before and after shots, as well as photographs of colors of the various products used, along with a description and tips on how to apply the products, to achieve the different effects. This is not a book that aims to sell any brand or product, therefore the colors and products are described only generally. This book also does not contain a magic formula or hand holding. There is no magic formula to make up technique; as for hand holding, try a local make up counter. At some point, make up becomes just a skill you yourself have to perfect by doing after being mindful of a visual result you are trying to achieve. This book offers such visual ideas on a variety of Asian faces and I give it five stars for doing just that. "

"I originally got this book to learn how to apply makeup made for asian women, but this book to me is not for beginners or maybe I don't have the skills yet to applying makeup. I think it is too advanced for someone like myself and there is a clear description in the front of the book about the necessary tools and how to's but...again, I am all thumbs when it comes to putting on makeup myself so I would end up having to flip back and forth several times to figure how to do it or what to use. The instructions are basic, like, "apply foundation," but to what color or how much or to where I got lost. The pictures are beautiful and the book is very colorful and it shows you pictures of asian women from Hawaii to Florida but I still can't get how to use it. Maybe if I had the time to read it many times and become skilled at it, but as of now, I don't have time to go through the book every time I want to put make up on. So, for me, this book wasn't what I needed to help me. I tried going by the pics but it just goes to show that I cannot achieve the look by myself. It is just funny to think after all these years of applying makeup, I find myself stuck with this book or I really don't know how to apply make up. I actually haven't yet found the ultimate perfect book for make up. "
