ABOUT THE BOOK
"This book started me on a path to healing myself. It is a great way to begin to see the unifying principals between major religions. The most important thing for me is that it can help with some introspective self diagnosis of what is ailing you physically and spiritually. I would easily consider this book to be a foundation to start your exploration of the chakra system. Carolyn Myss put me in a new paradigm for at least a year with this book and instilled a hunger for knowledge of the mind body system that has persisted 7 years later. Even though I think this book is a great start to understanding the chakra system and the mind-body connection, it was in depth enough to make you feel like you've been educated."

"Dr Myss manages to engage, inspire, and bring together three mystical traditions into one system. Her unique technology is a revelation! Entirely relevant to health and disease, Myss's exploration is mystical, spiritual as well as practical.
You gotta read this book!"

"A year ago, I began taking antidepressants and I was tired of the roller coaster ride that ensued of medication experimentation -- looking for the right cocktail, suffering through side effects and withdrawal symptoms, hoping that I'd find something to make me feel better but not make me unable to care for my children. It was exhausting. I was then recommended this book by a friend who practices Reiki -- she said if I wanted to get off the drugs, this would help me do it. AND IT HAS!! I learned to use my "personal power". Caroline Myss is a medical intuitive, which means that she has met hundreds (maybe thousands) of people in pain who need help and she offers diagnoses and even direction to heal. She differentiates between healing the spirit, which is essential to beginning our journey on self-healing, and curing a disease -- after all, sometimes your physical body has deteriorated past the point of recovery. But she shares stories of people physically debilitated by their illnesses, but who are spiritually alive and healthy! Myss's book helped me understand my spiritual self, where is my power, how can I use it to heal myself. She then explains our spiritual selves against the "seven sacred truths", which draw parallels between the 7 chakras, 7 Christian sacraments, and the 7 levels of the Tree of Life of Kabbalah. Not only is this a fascinating read, but it opened my eyes to a world I never considered, a self I never realized I had. "The Anatomy of the Spirit" taught me to understand my spiritual self from ground zero, and gave me the knowledge I needed to begin my journey on self-healing. I am much healthier today and well on the road to recovery both physically and mentally. My life has changed for the better and it all began with this book. Just remember: when you open this book, it will open your world; but first you must approach it with an open mind. "

"Like many of you, I'm one of those readers who likes to highlight words or sentences or passages with a yellow marker. So, it makes me chuckle every time I consult my copy of ANATOMY OF THE SPIRIT: The Seven Stages of Power and Healing by Caroline Myss because it often looks as if I highlighted everything!
Once, I went back through the book just to convince myself that I had been doing a weak job somehow, that I wasn't really present when I read, that I wasn't paying attention. But no, that wasn't it. The thing is, Caroline Myss is a marvelous writer, let alone a profound medical intuitive and teacher.
With her significant help, and for the first time, really, I was able to make sense of the Seven Sacred Truths, or seven Hindu chakras. As she blends them, point by point, with the Kabbalah's Tree of Life and the Christian sacraments, I felt repeatedly as if a brilliant, warm and clear light were going off in my head. I was raised a Catholic, and I never understood the sacraments so well!
In addition to this magnificent breakthrough model, Myss's narratives of individual cases she's worked with are inspiring and riveting. Finally, her introduction on becoming a medical intuitive and serving her intuitive apprenticeship is simply remarkable.
This book, in short, is jaw-droppingly astounding. It would be impossible for me to praise it to excess, because anything I say cannot quite measure up to Myss's poetry in prose. I'm suggesting everyone I know and meet read and cherish this book! To Caroline Myss, I bow down.

" What I have learned from this read enriches my understanding of the human entity. I went into this book with a solid foundation that our bodies are both physical and spiritual but the author has broadened my scope of understanding -- the best thing is that it all makes perfect sense! The information I have gathered from this author helps me to build upon that which I already have; it's like putting a puzzle together, one piece at a time -- and from my study with this book I have found a few more missing pieces and this "puzzle of life" is coming into view more clearly now.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who has a thirst for enlightment and understanding of who we truly are, for there's so much more out there than meets the eye!! "
