ABOUT THE BOOK

EDITORIAL REVIEW
Where Are My Keys?

Keep forgetting where you put your keys? Wish you could get through the crossword faster? Experiencing too many "intellectual pauses"? Then this is the book for you.

Brain Candy is an authoritative, comprehensive, and above all, cutting-edge look at what you can take to rev up your brain -- enhance memory, think faster, sharpen creativity, focus better. The only authors yet to tackle this subject who are experts in both brain function and drug action, Theodore Lidsky and Jay Schneider explain in plain English what the effects of these substances are on the body. Do they really work? Are they safe? Are they readily available? Topics include:

  • How to tell if a drug is worth taking
  • The neuropsychology of forgetting
  • Why drugs can help you think better
  • What you can take: smart drugs, amino acids, hormones, vitamins
  • And much more

For aging baby boomers -- and for anyone else who wants a quicker wit -- Brain Candy has all the answers.
USER REVIEWS
"The authors, both phd's in the subject matter, present a wide range of "brain enhancing" prescription and non- prescription remedies . Each is ranked according to effectiveness and risk along with a great desription of what it is, how it is supposed to work, studies of the material and a effectiveness and risk scale.

Very interesting and a good source. Would second source the recommendations before becomming a crash test dummy for these drugs. "

"This is a very biased, uninformative book. The research views are very narrow and the author treats the readers like children, as though the readers are not capable of drawing their own conclusions.

I'm extremely disappointed with this book!

I do NOT recommend this book, at all.

I've found books such as "Mind Boosters" far more informative and enlightening."

"I just started it to read and have found it to be very informative, explaining all the factors of memory loss
and what you can do to improve response and prevent brain
decay over time. And what supplements can help you supply
your brain with proper natural products."
