ABOUT THE BOOK
In The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle taught us that living in the "now" is the path we must take to happiness and enlightenment. In his new book, Michael Brown teaches us how to do this, and lays out a sensible step-by-step plan that will enable us to heal the ghosts from our past so we can lead liberated lives--now!
Reading this book will cleanse your perceptions and help you exorcise your deepest subconscious wounds. Brown shows us how to step beyond our personal physical, mental, and emotional afflictions and addictions, and empowers us to grow into a new wholeness.
The lucid flow of this text magnetically and gently draws us into a transformational experience that automatically grounds us into the vibrant radiance of present moment awareness--where we find our liberation, our healing, and our innate wisdom.
Until 1989, South African-born Michael Brown was living what he called "a blissfully unconscious life" as a music journalist. He then developed an acutely painful neurological condition for which conventional medicine had neither cure nor relief. This caused him to set out on what became a nine year odyssey of self-healing which took him into--then beyond--many alternative healing modalities. The result is a revolutionary new healing procedure: The Presence Process.
"This book found me after I read Eckhardt's book, A New Earth. It is truly a remarkable journey but you have to be ready for it. Michael suggests reading the entire book cover-to-cover first before rereading and beginning the meditation exercises. Even if you only do the first reading, it will change your life and the way you view yourself and others - in the most profound way!
I've reread it once, doing the meditation components, but will begin a 3rd reading soon. Each time you complete the process, you enter the next reading at a different level of awareness so the benefits increase with each re-reading.
The self-discipline it takes to meditate for 15-minutes twice daily during your 2nd reading and beyond is not always easy but disciplining your mind to follow thru with this process pays off in spades. If you have any old hurts from the past or even an uncomfortable feeling in life that you can't verbalize, this book will help put those past hurts to bed permanently making you feel more alive and light-hearted like you perhaps felt in your earliest memories of being a child. Even if you don't remember being happy as a child, go to any playground and rediscover the sense of joy and innocence most children feel even if their lives aren't perfect.
After beginning this process, I actually had 2 people tell me that they felt like a breath of fresh air entered the room when they were in my presence. What a blessing that Michael's book could give that to me and that I could then pass this on to others!
I still have personal growth work I'd like to accomplish but I'm not the same person I was before reading Michael's book. It's like that saying, "Once you know something, you can't not know it anymore". To paraphrase Michael, this process is gentle and won't give you any more than you can handle, but also, not any less. It is truly a remarkable journey and I wish you the all the best in your endeavors with this book and any others that find you along your journey thru life. Namaste!"

"Tomorrow I begin my final week of the Presence Process, I cannot tell you what this process has given me. I feel so much gratitude, appreciation and love for this work, for myself and for all the wonderful messengers (mess-enders). Yes I have had to face myself, my fear, anger and grief and yes there is still work to do, but I am in the real process of becoming me. My heart IS good and I WILL reside in it and respond from it.
Learning to love and trust "what it" with much gratitude .................Kind regards and love for all. "

"I am a well healed and experienced 'seeker' , 'consciousness-diver' and am extraordinarily grateful to have discovered 'The Presence Process'. It is a deep, significant, easily available, accessible, functional tool for - I'll use the word - 'enlightenment', awareness, presence, taking full responsibility. I've been reading Eckhart Tolle's 'A New Earth' simultaneously. Both books involve, invoke, the same issues. I find Tolle's to be much more cerebral. Michael Brown's 'The Presence Process' is involving, hands-on, a highly useful tool that has enabled me to free myself by guiding me in a clear comforting way to deal with the causes of my suffering. I give it the highest recommendation. "

"This book was an amazing gift for me. I had given the book as a gift years ago and was thanked many times and told how amazing it was. I had read "the power of now" and the concept of being present in the moment resonated truth in me but I found it very hard to maintain or practice in "daily life". I recently found myself in a place of emptyness like something was missing from what I was supposed to be doing. I was feeling very resistant to doing things and feeling a lot of random anxiety. I felt like I needed to make a change or shift and I remembered an email I had received a few months earlier urging me again to read the book and how amazing it was. I ordered two copies, one for me and one for my significant other:).
This book changed our lives and I cannot recommend anything more highly. I feel every person wanting to grow can benefit from this book. It resonates with a peaceful truth that I can not really describe but it just has an amazing quality of feeling honest.
Words really cannot explain how incredible this book is and I have now given many copies to friends and family. I am very very grateful that this book found its way to me!

"There's a lot of hype surrounding this book.
That's usually a bad sign.
The author, Michael Brown, apparently had an awakening experience which involved healing from a painful condition. Based on that credential, he proceeds to write a lot of hooey, the kernel of which is a regimen for self-awareness. But his explanation for how this process works is a mishmash of psychobabble and New Age thought. There is no innovative material, here. His combination of breathwork, affirmations and study are effective at helping you be present, but the hundreds of pages of rambling that he surrounds it with are, in my estimation, unnecessary."
