"I was amazed at how thorough the information was in Lyle's book. I started talking to other folks and it was interesting to see the wide range of ratings (and the really bad ratings) on nutritional supplements. Especially how poorly all the name-brand supplements were rated. Without reading this book you really can't be sure if all your vitamin money is going out in the toilet! This supplements book explains all the key concepts of nutrition in easy-to-understand descriptions. I also found the following website very useful for going a little more in depth on related topics such as oxidation and free radicals, low glycemic eating, and how supplementation can help avoid the inflammation diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, etc: DontBeABrownApple.com. The site also has recommendations for the highest rated pharmaceutical-grade supplements in existence!

"I was hoping for a real review. The book seems to compare the top 10 vitamin brand by brochure. I didn't like it!"

"This is an excellent guide for the consumers to choose quality supplements. It gives ratings (1 to 5 stars) to more than 1500 multivitamins in North America. Supplements from Kroger, Walgrees and costco, etc get a very low score of their products. I'm suprised. I highly recommend this book to someone who is taking supplements or considering taking supplements."

"My daughter had the earlier addition of this book and I was impressed with the information provided. I think the author tries to give a factual summary of each product in an unbiased and fair manner. It gives the consumer an overview of each product so you know the quality of the product you will be choosing to use. I feel that it allows me to make a much more informed decision on my supplements."

"This book was recommended to me by my physician and I was very excited about my purchase. Sadly, the font is so small it should be illegal. I will never be able to read this book without great difficulty or a magnifying glass. I was definitely ripped off and do NOT recommend it.
A total waste."
