Why My Son? A True Story of Heroism and the Love of Father and Son

Steven was a non-smoking, thirty-eight year-old Hodgkin's disease survivor with a recurrent cough and shortness of breath. In March of 2005, after four years of persistent symptoms, my son was diagnosed with end-stage lung cancer. Because of the long delay, Steven's physicians were charged with negligent malpractice. Their oversight ultimately caused my son his life. For twenty months, he bravely fought his disease, employing the most advanced and aggressive treatments available. This book chronicles Steven's courageous struggle and his determination to live despite terrifying odds. I wrote this book as a tribute to Steven's life and to express my eternal love for him.
