USER REVIEWS
"This PDR is a great value. Most PDR's cost 3X this one. Plus you get the information on a CD ROM, too. My husband was thrilled with this gift."

"Extremely pleased...in excellent condition for an used book, especially one of this type, which are normally used often by an owner; the pages appear brand new."

"Everyone who takes medication should own a PDR. Many times a doctor will prescribe something and leave it to the pharmacist to warn you about side effects. Then there is the issue of drug interaction. This book could save someone's life. When I challenged an internist (actually his nurse) I was accused of practicing medicine without a license. The lady later died due to a drug interaction. "

"Essential reference for those who take prescription drugs and wish to know more about those drugs. Most valuable to those with scientific training, but useful to all. Much better than simplistic references put out by others."

"While the PDR® is the industry standard and has a wealth of information, plus it is wonderful to have it on your computer vs. the massive book format, there is a MAJOR DRAWBACK TO THIS PURCHASE. I am not a M.D. I am a layperson with an ever-growing number of illnesses, hence numbers of physicians and medicines. This electronic version is TIME LIMITED. Per section 2)TERM of the EULA, "license shall remain in effect for between FIFTEEN AND TWENTY MONTHS . . .", "AN AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN DEVICE SHALL RENDER THE PRODUCT INOPERABLE AFTER THE TERM EXPIRES."

I just spent $100.00 on something that seems like it ought to be labeled as a "trial version," or even a demo, (free; if you like it you can the BUY the registered version). WHY is this so different than the BOOK? It certainly does not vaporize into thin air after 15-20 months! I assumed this version, (the stand-alone e CD PDR), would be different. In 2005, at a bookstore I bought the combination of the hardcover book with the companion e CD PDR for about $100.00. The e version, (of course), no longer works. If you are an M.D. and can afford this, (i.e., write it off, then more power to you). However, if you are someone in my position, or someone who just believes there is something WRONG with this . . . I thought I'd pass it on."
