What is needed, what works for US and what is not needed etc. Perhaps some things leave questions in your mind, BUT if you are the first time parent. Pay the money and get it for yourself. If you are thinking about getting this as a gift for the first time parents, do what Nike does -> Just Do It i.e. buy the book."

"Buying stuff for kids is completely overwhelming - way too much to know and compare! I used the sample registry in the back as a jumping-off point for building my own, it was a huge time saver.

I only wish they had reviewed some changing tables, or at least told me what to expect in a high-quality model vs. low-end. All they say is "use the top of a dresser, tables are a waste of money" but that doesn't help us. We got a changing table as a gift, and can't find any solid info about whether it's a good brand or not, even on their website/forum. "
