"As a technical mountain search and rescue team member, the narratives included in all of the "Accidents" series are great training tools, as well as concrete evidence of the dangers inherent in mountaineering. For the mountaineer or flatlander, these texts are simply great entertainment. My only criticism- this volume, as well as many others, tends to focus on the mountaineering accidents that occur in the Rockies and Pacific Coast."
