Appendicular Skeleton

The Appendicular Skeleton includes the limbs, with the various bones of the arms, hands, legs and feet, plus the pectoral (shoulder) and pelvic girdles. In all, there are 126 bones in this section of the skeleton.

This area of the skeletal system enables the body to be supported and allows a wide range of movement in the upper and lower limbs.
